Sandra “Sandy” Lee (Cale) Shoemaker, 84, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, handed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. She was born on October 12, 1941, in Uniontown, Pa., eldest daughter of Donald Cale and Esther (Cooley) Cale.
A 1959 graduate of German Township highschool, Sandy went on to earn a bachelor’s diploma from Grace College (Winona Lake, Indiana) and a grasp’s diploma from California State College. She liked youngsters and embraced her job as third grade trainer with pleasure and enthusiasm. After instructing one yr at Craig Elementary School (Uniontown) and thirty years at Zachariah Connell Elementary School (Connellsville), Sandy retired from the general public college system and later returned to her love of instructing by tutoring at Chestnut Ridge Christian Academy (Uniontown), a non-public college that she had supported in varied roles all through the years.
As a religious Christian, Sandy was very energetic inside her church group.
