The Capital Trustees Board yesterday moved a step nearer to turning Bahrain’s parks into good, digitally monitored areas, approving a plan to regularly exchange some safety guards with digital surveillance programs.

The proposal, put ahead by board member Engineer Mohammed Tawfiq Al Abbas and reviewed by the Services and Public Facilities Committee, goals to spice up safety, improve customer expertise, and align park administration with good metropolis tendencies.

Al Abbas stated the initiative seeks to shift from reliance on human guards to fashionable digital programs, guaranteeing round the clock protection throughout all park areas and bettering operational effectivity.

Supporters of the plan stated digital monitoring may scale back human error, velocity up responses to incidents, and reduce guarding-related upkeep and working prices by as much as 60%. The financial savings may then be redirected in the direction of park repairs and upgrades. The proposed system consists of high-definition cameras protecting entrances and essential routes, movement and alarm sensors at key factors, and safe recording and information storage through a central or cloud-based platform. A devoted monitoring room linked to the Capital Trustees Board’s operations centre and related authorities can be deliberate, together with seen signage informing guests of 24-hour surveillance.

The suggestion envisions a phased rollout, beginning with digital programs complementing present guards, with potential for full enlargement after the pilot part is evaluated.
