(CNN) — Two males are lacking after a bunch of people that went on a Christmas Day swim at a seaside within the southern shore of the United Kingdom confronted tough waters, police stated on Thursday.

Authorities had been referred to as at 10:25 a.m. to the seaside at Budleigh Salterton attributable to a bunch encountering tough water situations, Devon and Cornwall Police stated.

Several folks had been safely recovered to shore and checked both by paramedics on the scene or taken to the hospital as a precaution, police stated.

However, two males, of their 40s and 60s, weren’t recovered and stay lacking.

Police led “extensive” searches for the lads however the efforts stood down as darkness fell.

“While there are no official warnings in place for tomorrow, we urge anyone with plans to go swimming in the sea on Boxing Day not to,” Costar stated.
