The James V. Brown Library will implement new hours of operation starting January 1, 2026, adjusting its schedule in response to a major lower in county funding whereas persevering with to prioritize entry to important library providers for the neighborhood.

Starting Jan. 1, 2026, the Library’s hours might be:

• Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. to six p.m.

• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“These updated hours allow us to continue providing consistent, high-quality service while planning carefully for the future,” stated Amy C. Resh, CEO of the James V. Brown Library. “With a reduction in county funding, we are taking careful steps to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Library while continuing to offer the free resources, programs, and services our community relies on every day.”

Despite the lowered night hours, the James V. Brown Library stays dedicated to serving as an important neighborhood hub, providing entry to books and digital supplies, public computer systems and Wi-Fi, instructional applications for all ages, workforce improvement sources, and protected, welcoming areas for studying and connection.
