Girls’s Swimming and Diving Bests Bluffton and Heidelberg in Tri-Meet

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University ladies’s swimming and diving staff defeated Bluffton University and Heidelberg University in a tri-meet within the BW Natatorium contained in the Lou Higgins Center.

BW (6-2, 2-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) defeated Bluffton (0-6) in a non-conference meet by a last rating of 195-17.  The Yellow Jackets upended Heidelberg (2-6, 0-3 OAC) in an OAC meet by a last rating of 177-57.

Individuals

• Senior All-OAC stroker Mallory Upcraft (Oswego, N.Y.) gained the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 58.65 and 200-yard particular person medley in a time of two:23.40
• Senior Academic All-OAC stroker Morgan Ingalls (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) gained the 1000-yard freestyle in a time 12:33.98
• Junior Abby Marquardt (Pickerington/Central) gained the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:13.74
• Junior Academic All-OAC stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) gained the 200-yard freestyle in a time of two:07.38
• Freshman Sydney Harbour North Canton/Hoover) gained the 100-yard backstroke in a time 1:06.06
• Sophomore stroker Brooke Radcliff (North Canton/Hoover) gained the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:01.38
• Freshman freestyler Eden Stahlin (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) gained the 500-yard freestyle in a time 5:45.71
• Senior freestyler Emily Kusar (Perry) took fourth within the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 28.22

Diving

• Sophomore All-OAC Makenna Mincey (Brunswick/Magnificat) gained the 1-meter and 3-meter with 281.30 and 247.25 factors, respectively.
• Sophomore All-OAC Emmalie Mitzel (Massillon/Jackson) completed second within the 1-meter and 3-meter with 260.90 and 225.65 factors, respectively

Relays

• The 200-yard medley squad of Harbour, Wands, Radcliff and junior Academic All-OAC stroker Zoey Hicks (Perry) gained in a time of 1:58.52
• The 400-yard freestyle unit of Upcraft, Harbour, sophomore freestyle Annalise Bolton (Berea/Berea-Midpark) and Wands completed second in a time of 4:06.07

BW is again in motion on Saturday, January 17 when it closes out the house portion of its schedule with an OAC and Seniors’ Day meet towards Ohio Northern University at 1 p.m.
