Documentary photographer Parvez Ahmed Rony organised an out of doors images exhibition titled Border that Bleeds, which was set on Gulshan Lake beside the Korail space of Mohakhali within the capital.

A collection of seven pictures from Rony’s long-time venture, which depicts the border killing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF), was inaugurated on January 9 as a part of an exhibition.

In reminiscence of Felani Khatun, who was killed by the BSF on 7 January 2011, Rony has labored on this situation of border with India and Bangladesh from 2012 to 2025. Since the killing of Felani, the BSF has brutally killed about 1400 civilian Bangladeshi residents alongside the India-Bangladesh border.

‘The outdoor exhibition aims to raise awareness among people regarding the issues. The exhibition is set on the Gulshan Lake, where people of diverse living standards dwell on the banks of the lake and there is hope that all will raise voice against the border killing,’ Rony stated, including that he needed mass involvement along with his pictures so he selected outside exhibitions.

Parvez Ahmad Rony labored as a photojournalist for over a decade, masking social, political and environmental problems with the area.
