TWU ARTISTIC SWIMMING SET FOR 2026 SEASON

DENTON, Texas (Jan. 23, 2026) – Entering the 2026 season, the Texas Woman’s creative swimming staff appears to proceed making historical past and additional solidify their rising legacy.

Last season marked a historic chapter for TWU. The Pioneers captured the South Regional Championship for the primary time in program historical past, defeating Richmond, Incarnate Word and Florida on March 2. 

The momentum continued on the nationwide degree, the place TWU earned particular person recognition as Maya Schwickert and Eva Lafontan have been named All-Americans, marking the second time in program historical past the Pioneers have had two athletes obtain the honour in the identical season. 

As the Pioneers look to proceed to construct upon this system’s legacy, TWU welcomed Courtney Griffith as the subsequent Head Coach of the Pioneers on Aug. 28, ushering in a brand new period of management for the 2025–26 season.

“The team is creating something truly special this year,” Griffith stated. “We are stepping up our technical skills and pushing the boundaries of creativity. We can’t wait to show the overall improvement and to compete routines that are bold, unique and unexpected. This year will be a turning point for the team, and we are setting a new, high standard for TWU Artistic Swim.”

TWU will open the season on the street on the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, on Jan. 30–31. Following the season opener, the Pioneers will journey to Stanford University to compete within the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championships on Feb. 14–15.

After the MPSF Championships, TWU will head to the University of Richmond for a Tri Meet to compete in opposition to the University of Florida and the University of Richmond on Feb. 28.

The Pioneers will then compete on the South Regional Championships in opposition to Florida, Richmond and Incarnate Word in Virginia on March 1.

Before heading to U.S. Collegiate Nationals, the Pioneers will showcase their nationals routines at dwelling at Pioneer Hall Pool on March 21 at 1 p.m. 

The season will conclude at U.S. Collegiate Nationals, hosted by Stanford from March 26–28, the place the Pioneers will compete in opposition to high collegiate applications from throughout the nation.
