A badger has been noticed making an attempt to cross a flooded street in Dorset.

It was captured on digicam by fireplace crews attending an incident on Slyers Lane within the Cokers Frome space of Dorchester.

They had been referred to as at 12:04 GMT following experiences that two autos had been caught in floodwater. While there, they noticed the animal swimming throughout the street.

The Dorset & Wiltshire Fire Service is warning folks to solely journey if obligatory, and to not drive by flood water, which “sometimes can be deeper than you think”.

Happily, the badger made it safely to dry land on the opposite aspect.

The group from Ferndown fireplace station stated it had labored with Poole’s Tech Rescue to save lots of Pup Roxy, after she was noticed being washed down a flooded river in West Moors.
