Summer time camp enjoyable with Nebraska Extension

While winter is upon us, it is not too early to begin fascinated with summer time camps.

Rhonda Herrick from Nebraska Extension joined NTV to assist plan out your summer time.

“Camps offer a multitude of benefits for your young people, especially 4h camps. They build confidence, they learn confidence through a whole array of activities at camp.” stated Herrick

Herrick previewed a number of the camps supplied to highschool college students.

“A lot of times we think of younger kids for 4h camp, but this is a great opportunity for our high school youth.” stated Herrick

Herrick says there are a variety of selections at Big Red camps this 12 months.

“Animation camps is one, youths are going to learn about animation from la based animators. So, what a unique opportunity there. Digital media camp – so if you want to write, be on the radio, produce videos. This camp would be for you. Engineering camp is a high-energy, hands-on experience where high school students get to learn about engineering. Kind of a cool opportunity there. E-sports camps. E-sports are very popular right now. So many kids are finding success in that.” stated Herrick

Registrations for these camps don’t open till February tenth, so name your native Extension Office this Spring to search out out camp dates and to get your youngsters signed up!
