Lakeside winter celebration presents enjoyable actions, native crafts, and prizes

CHARLOTTE, N.Y. — This 12 months’s Lakeside Winter Celebration kicked off Saturday at Ontario Beach Park.

The celebration featured a wide range of actions for attendees. A fireworks present over the Genesee River was scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m.

Earlier within the day, guests loved an ice and snow sculpting competitors and a chili cook-off with a grand prize of as much as $200. For these seeking to chill out, there have been horse-drawn wagon rides, dwell music, and an opportunity to fulfill sled canine.

Local distributors supplied arts and crafts on the market, and attendees may get pleasure from ice skating for household enjoyable or take part in wine and spirit tasting for adults.

Organizer Jim Farr stated it was good how this 12 months it really looks like winter out.

“This year it was actually cold,” stated Farr. “But in some ways, I think it’s better because people are used to the cold. It’s been cold so long, so they don’t mind being outside another day. So we’re expecting a great crowd. And it’s a great thing to bring people to the beach in the wintertime.”
