The Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards promotes wildlife conservation by laughter. Cofounder Tom Sullam not too long ago handled a TED viewers to an essential conservation lesson in hilarious style.

Speaking at TEDNext Atlanta in November last year, Sullam delved into how “positive emotion leads to empathy”, which in flip shifts attitudes and behaviors.

Contrary to what you may consider, bombarding individuals with photographs of animals struggling isn’t one of the best ways to make them care. In reality, Sullam shared the way it’s laughter that will get individuals on board with preserving the wonders of nature.
