Foley transferring ahead with James Road extension to assist with seashore journey

Foley is transferring ahead with plans so as to add a brand new north-south route that can hyperlink U.S. 98 with Gulf Shores.

The plan is in partnership with the Baldwin County Commission and the town of Gulf Shores. Their purpose is to supply an alternate passage to Highway 59 when driving to Gulf Shores, relieving some congestion for these touring by the world to the seashore and for native site visitors.

The Foley City Council permitted the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wetland delineation proposal to proceed growing roadway plans wanted to increase James Road south from Brinks Willis Road to Gulf Shores.
