Broncos Land 15 Gamers on NCHC Honor Roll

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) introduced its preliminary Academic Honor Roll this afternoon. Western Michigan had 15 gamers on the listing, together with 11 Distinguished Scholar Athletes. The Broncos had the second most gamers within the convention on the Honor Roll and the third most Distinguished Scholar-Athletes.

To be eligible for the NCHC Honor Roll, a student-athlete should compile a 3.0 cumulative grade-point common or higher, whereas having accomplished not less than one full tutorial 12 months at his present establishment. Student-athletes which have achieved a cumulative GPA of three.5 or higher are honored as NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athletes, along with Honor Roll recognition.

Zach Bade, Cole Crusberg-Roseen, Grady Gallatin, Ryan Kusler, Kirk Laursen, Owen Michaels, Zach Nehring, Zack Sharp, Samuel Sjolund, Grant Slukynsky, Hampton Slukynsky, Garrett Szydlowski, Joona Väisänen, Liam Valente and Zaccharya Wisdom have been all named to the NCHC Honor Roll. Bade, Crusberg-Roseen, Laursen, Michaels, Nehring, Sjolund, G. Slukynsky, H. Slukynsky, Szydlowski, Valente and Wisdom have been all Distinguished Scholar-Athletes.

While freshmen and inter-conference first-year transfers, together with graduate transfers, aren’t at present eligible for the NCHC Honor Roll or Distinguished Scholar-Athlete recognition (resulting from not having a full 12 months at their present college), these freshmen and transfers that obtain a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher on the conclusion of the 2025-26 tutorial 12 months shall be added to the NCHC Honor Roll over the summer season. Similarly, any freshmen or first-year transfers who compile a 3.5 GPA or higher shall be named an NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete.
