ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. – The Gallaudet University ladies’s swim staff took on the second day of the 2026 Atlantic East Conference swimming championships right here Friday at The Aquatics Center on the Michael P. O’Brien Athletics & Recreation Center on the campus of St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

The competitors started Friday morning with preliminary occasions by which GU swam for qualification within the finals that night. A placement of sixteenth and above qualifies a swimmer for the ultimate competitors.

First yr Hope MacPeek (Russellville, Ark.) kicked off the night for the Bison within the 500-yard freestyle and completed in twelfth place with a time of 6:26.12.

All groups held their standings from yesterday. Marywood University maintained its maintain on first place with 258 factors, adopted by St. Mary’s College of Maryland in second with 256 factors and Marymount University in third with 242 factors. Immaculata University (154), Cedar Crest College (110), and Gallaudet (86) stay in fourth, fifth, and sixth place, respectively.

Gallaudet returns to The Aquatics Center on the Michael P. O’Brien Athletics & Recreation Center tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 14) for Day 3 of the 2026 Atlantic East Conference championships. Preliminaries will begin at 10 a.m. and the finals shall be held at 5:30 p.m. The doorways will open at 4 p.m. with the annual Senior Recognition Program at 5:15 p.m. earlier than Saturday’s finals end.
