The WMNF Song of the Day for February 16, 2026 is “Geoduck” by Kudu.

Fun Fact #1: Kudu exists within the ether someplace between funk, jazz, soul, and world psychedelia. Heavy on the funk. The Band Consists of: Dave Himmelfarb – Vocals, Guitar, Dan Otis- Organ, KC Wolfe- Bass, Nick Dempsey-Sax, and Patty Schwing-Drums.

Fun reality #2: The music title “Geoduck” references the Pacific Northwest clam pronounced “gooey-duck”. Kudu tells us that Geoduck began its life as a bassline, which grew up right into a JB’s impressed groove. Many of their tunes are named after Mother Nature’s weirdest creatures, so the large clams referred to as geoduck appeared like a very good match.

Geoduck is off Cane Toad, Kudu’s second EP, bringing collectively tracks they’vee been engaged on recording and mixing with producer Mike Manion over the past 12 months.
