Ladies’s Swimming: Hawks Safe Eighth at NJACs Behind Balanced Group Effort

HAMPTON, Va. – The Roger Williams University Women’s Swimming staff concluded the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship on Sunday night time, inserting eighth with a complete of 425 factors. RWU positioned forward of Ramapo College and William Paterson.

Salisbury University took the highest spot with 1635 factors, with University of Mary and Washington and Rowan University following in second and third.

The Hawks despatched the staff of Shae Gonzales (Pottstown, Pa.), Avery Benigni (Meriden, Conn.), Claire Dombrofski (West Hartford, Conn.), and Isabel Tahlmore () to the pool for the 400-yard freestyle relay. The staff completed seventh with a time of three:39.98.

In the 200-yard breaststroke, Mattia McIntyre (Norton, Mass.) took a ninth-place end with a time of two:27.91.

Another prime ten finisher, Dombrofski positioned tenth with a time of 53.66 within the 100-yard freestyle to guide the Hawks.

Kallie Fournier (Berkley, Mass.) was the highest finisher for the Hawks within the 200-yard butterfly, posting a time of two:15.51.

In the 200-yard backstroke, Avery Watson (Niskayuna, N.Y.) led the Hawks and completed with a time of two:11.70.

For the 1650-yard freestyle, the Hawks have been led by Ella Rothberg (Fairfield, Conn.) who put up a time of 19:17.74. Rothberg completed simply forward of Natalie Herl (Rocklin, Cali.) and Lauren Clark (Trumbull, Conn.).

The Hawks will await potential picks to the NCAA Championships, which might be set to be introduced on Monday, Mar. 2.
