Swimming & Diving Earns a “B” Reduce, Second Team All-Conference Honor on Second Day of NEWMAC Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Wellesley College swimming & diving moved as much as third place on the second day of the 2026 NEWMAC Championships at MIT’s Zesiger Center Pool.

The 200 Free Relay workforce of Choe, first-year Lana Richard (Oakland, Calif.), Liu and Kung earned fourth within the “A” finals with a time of 1:37.27. The time set a Blue program report by .05 seconds. 

Richard claimed ninth within the 200 IM “A” finals, hitting the wall at 2:10.61. In the “B” finals, sophomore Lily Fender (Burnsville, N.C.) (seventh – 2:14.03) and Sekhon (eighth – 2:14.80) completed back-to-back. Junior Chelsea Park (Long Beach, Calif.) swam within the occasion and took twenty ninth within the occasion, hitting the wall at 2:21.08.

Senior Elsa Marsden (Vienna, Va.) scored 419.00 within the 11-dive format of 1-Meter Diving, good for seventh place. 

In the five hundred Free, first-year Hannah Machleidt (Middleton, Wis.) completed fifth within the “B” finals, with a 5:19.79. Also competing within the race was junior Chloe Weingarten (Rochester, Minn.) (twenty seventh – 5:35.60), senior Julia Reich (Bronxville, N.Y.) Kung captured fifth with a 24.11 time within the 50 Free “A” finals. First-year Jessica Zhao (Beijing, China) (fifth – 24.99), senior Tracey Liu (Princeton, N.J.) ( ninth – 25.40) and first-year Jolyn Zheng (Irvine, Calif.) (tenth – 25.48) every raced within the “B” finals .

Competition continues tomorrow, with prelims starting at 10:00 AM.
