BIG EAST CHAMPS: Males’s Swimming & Diving Captures Fifth-Straight Title

OCALA, Fla. -The Georgetown University males’s swimming & diving staff captured its fifth-consecutive BIG EAST Championship with 910.5 factors within the 2026 BIG EAST Championships, Presented by Jeep. The girls’s staff completed in third with 1303 factors.

HOYA HIGHLIGHTS

• Owen Watkins captured his third particular person gold medal of the week with a record-breaking time of 42.61 within the 100 free.
• In the 200 breaststroke, the Hoyas swept the rostrum with Nick Pezzella (1:57.83) ending in first, Ben Tunila (1:58.60) ending in second and Michael Mostofi coming in third (1:59.21).
• In the 1650 free, Camille Weiss completed in fourth with a time of 16:53.88.
• Heidi Wu earned third place within the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:58.06
• In the 200 backstroke, Conor Jellig (1:45.61), Ronan Krauss (1:46.83) and Isaac Holtham (1:48.04) completed in third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
• The 400 free relay staff of Isaac Holthamm Nick Pezzella, Watkins, and Daren Chen captured first with a time of two:55.38. 
• Madeline Malonem, Lila Connor, Ines Lovato and Taplin Seelbach took second within the 200 free relay with a time of three:21.43. 
• Watkins was named Men’s Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Year. 
• John Carroll together with assistant coaches Sam Milligan and Meg Tomayko had been named Co-Men’s Coaching Staff of the Year.
• Tomayko was additionally named Men’s Diving Coach of the Year.
