Firebirds Take Third Place at 2026 CCIW Swimming Championships

PLEASANT PRAIRIE –  The Carthage males’s swim group competed within the 2026 Swimming CCIW Championships from Wednesday night by means of Saturday night.

DAY ONE
The Firebirds relay group earned a third-place end within the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of seven:02.40. The group consisted of AJ Landorf, William Murray, Aidan Nord, and Tyson Politsch. 

DAY TWO

Adam Hollis positioned sixth within the 50-yard freestyle, clocking 21.53. 

In the 500-yard freestyle, Politsch clocked 4:44.61 for a sixth-place end. 

Hitting the board at 1:54.76, Landorf medaled, ending in second place within the 200-yard IM. Additionally, Andrew Laborevitch positioned eighth with a time of two:00.98.

The Firebirds relay group clocked in a medal-worthy end within the 200-yard freestyle relay. In third place, the group of Nick Deluca, Hollis, Murray, and Nord hit the board at 1:25.35.

In the 400-yard medley relay, the Firebirds group clocked a time of three:25.22 for a third-place end. The group consisted of Landorf, Politsch, Nord, and Murray. 

DAY THREE

The Firebirds relay group earned a medal-worthy end (third place) within the 200 medley relay, clocking a time of 1:32.31. The group consisted of Landorf, Politsch, Ben Przekota, and Hollis.

Jackson Morris took seventh place within the 400-yard IM, touching the board at 4:26.80.

In the 100-yard butterfly, Landorf took the silver medal, clocking a time of fifty.96.

Nord and DeLuca positioned sixth and eighth within the 200-yard freestyle, touching the board at 1:45.27 and 1:50.05. 

Politsch took the silver medal within the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking a time of 56.20.

Ian Glossa positioned eighth within the 100-yard backstroke, hitting the board at 54.05. 

DAY FOUR

Sean Noller took sixth place within the 1650-yard freestyle in a time of 17:29.90.

Four Firebirds positioned within the 200-yard backstroke. Glossa led the Birds in fifth place with a time of 1:57.93. Kal Kramp and Trey Halas swam 2:00.74 and a couple of:01.47 for sixth and seventh-place finishes. Additionally, Tyler Wojdyla positioned eighth in a time of two:04.07.

Nord clocked a time of 47.43 for a seventh-place end within the 100-yard freestyle. 

Politsch (second-place) and Laborevitch (eighth-place) positioned within the 200-yard breaststroke with occasions of two:06.76 and a couple of:12.85.

Landorf took the gold within the 200-yard butterfly, edging out the competitors with a time of 1:55.06. Additionally, Przekota positioned eighth with a time of two:07.97. 

In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the Firebirds relay group of Deluca, Politsch, Landorf, and Nord, clocked a time of three:09.88 for a third-place end.
