Gov. Maura Healey has lifted the journey ban for the hardest-hit Bay State counties after the historic monster blizzard dumped as much as three ft of snow.

The governor at midday on Tuesday ended the non-essential journey ban for Bristol, Plymouth, Barnstable and Dukes counties.

Healey continued to induce residents to make use of warning and to remain dwelling if attainable to permit for crews to proceed cleansing up amid the icy, snow-covered and slushy situations.

A lot of communities — together with New Bedford, Fall River, Brockton and others — nonetheless have native journey restrictions and parking bans in place.
