UNCW Makes It Five In A Row As CAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Champions

FINAL RESULTS

HAMPTON, Va. (February 28, 2026) – UNCW took house its fifth consecutive CAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championship on Saturday evening on the Hampton Aquaplex. It was the Seahawks’ 18^th convention title since 2002.

UNCW completed on high of the standings with 852 factors, whereas Towson positioned second with 789 factors. Taking third with 667.5 factors was Drexel, adopted by William & Mary (508.5) and Monmouth (256).

Drexel junior Theo Andreopoulos was chosen because the Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet and Towson senior Sam Tennell was chosen because the Most Outstanding Diver of the Meet. Towson’s Anthony Bruno obtained CAA Men’s Swimming Coach of the Year honors and tabbed as CAA Diving Coach of the Year was Towson’s Sergey Meshcherskiy.

Men’s 1650 Yard Freestyle

Christian Davidson turned the primary Towson swimmer since 2015 to seize the boys’s 1650 free, posting a successful time of 15:08.00. Second place went to UNCW’s Wilson Tuttle in a time of 15:19.32 and Monmouth’s Izan Arroyo Lopez del Castillo earned bronze with a time of 15:22.70.

Men’s 200 Yard Backstroke

Drexel’s Theo Andreopoulos gained his third occasion of the championship and have become the Dragons’ first males’s 200 backstroke champion since 2020 with a time of 1:42.00, which certified him for the NCAA Championship. Dragons’ teammate Petar Pavalic completed second in a time of 1:42.59 and defending champion Sean Colson of Towson was third with a time of 1:42.66.

Men’s 100 Yard Freestyle

Drexel’s Sebastian Smith took house gold within the males’s 100 freestyle for the second time up to now three years with a successful time of 42.85. Second place went to William & Mary’s Aiden Bond with a time of 43.29 and UNCW’s Hil Lindsay took third with a time of 43.83.

Men’s 200 Yard Breaststroke

Towson’s Jed Garner broke the CAA all-time and meet data within the males’s 200 breast and earned automated qualification to the NCAA Championship with a time of 1:52.45. Defending champion William Carrico of UNCW completed second in a time of 1:53.14 and William & Mary’s Toby Herzog positioned third with a time of 1:55.91.

UNCW sophomore Joseph Busic certified for the NCAA Championship by capturing the boys’s 200 fly with a successful time of 1:43.52. Placing second in a time of 1:44.24 was UNCW’s Andy Commins and taking third was Drexel’s Richard Pucek with a time of 1:48.70.

Men’s 400 Yard Freestyle Relay

Drexel broke the CAA all-time and meet data in capturing the boys’s 400 free relay for the second yr in a row because the group of Theo Andreopoulos, Matas Cinga, Petar Pavalic and Sebastian Smith posted a time of two:52.00. Taking second was UNCW with a time of two:53.91 and William & Mary completed third with a time of two:56.45.
