Native swimmers set to tackle PIAA State Championship – Pottsville Republican Herald

The seedings have been introduced for the PIAA State Swimming Championship, which begins Wednesday, March 11 at Bucknell’s Kinney Natatorium

Twenty-seven native swimmers certified for state championships, 11 of which gained gold on the District 11 Championship final month.

“This season has been very rewarding for me personally as we won 12 dual meets, swam and dove very well at the league meet, and were terrific at the district meet,” Pottsville coach Ned Hampford mentioned.

Class 2A preliminaries will start on Friday, March 13 at 6:35 a.m., and the finals will begin at 3:45 p.m. Day two kicks off on Saturday, March 14 at 6:30 a.m. with the finals at 3:45 p.m.
