JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) – With a brand new month formally underway, there are many new actions to attempt within the Janesville space.
The Hemlines and Heroes Exhibit opens this Thursday on the Janesville Rock County Historical Society.
The exhibit highlights articles of clothes worn from the Twenties to 1949. The clothes ranges from navy uniforms, wedding ceremony clothes and medical attire from the Flapper Era.
“Each one has a story,” stated Christine Rebout of the Janesville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. “You are looking at the clothing, but you are hearing the story of the person who wore it, why they wore it and the meaning behind it.”
The WI Royal Weekend Cheer Competition might be on the Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center this Saturday to Sunday, giving spectators an awesome alternative to be taught concerning the sport of dance.
Also on the Woodman’s Convention Center, Fearless MMA might be internet hosting a battle night time on Saturday, March 14.
Doors open at 2 p.m. with the undercard beginning at 3 p.m. and the primary card beginning at 6 p.m.
A 70s tribute band might be performing on the Janesville Performing Arts Center on Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. The band might be paying homage to Supertramp.
“It’s an opportunity to support local and get up, sing and dance and get really involved,” stated Rebout. “This is a great way to pay homage to a really progressive rock band.”
