Duke Gears Up for NCAA Diving Zones

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke swimming and diving resumes postseason competitors this weekend because the staff prepares to compete on the NCAA Diving Zones in Athens, Georgia.
 

The Blue Devils will likely be represented by seven student-athletes on the meet who’re vying for a spot on the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships later this month.
 
DUKE NOTABLES:

• The Blue Devils will likely be represented by seven divers – Charles Berman, Evan Brown, Avery Hillier, Keira Lu, Yannis Schattman, Avari Wang and Josie Zillig.
• At the ACC Championships, Zillig headlined the Duke diving performances with a fourth-place end within the ladies’s platform dive (252.65).
• This season, Berman and Lu each produced dives that landed them on the all-time Duke top-10 lists.
• Lu, a 16-time podium finisher and five-time ACC Women’s Diver of the Week honoree this season, moved as much as No. 4 within the ladies’s 3-meter dive (362.55) and No. 5 within the ladies’s 1-meter (323.73). Berman slotted himself eighth all-time within the males’s 1-meter occasion (348.68).
• Berman (11), Schattman (5) and Hillier (4) mixed for 20 podium finishes this season throughout the each the 1-meter and 3-meter diving occasions.
