Classic Plastic Toys Expo returned to Parkersburg Arts Middle

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) -Classic Plastics Toy and Comic Expo organizers stated the occasion provides one thing for nearly each form of collector and popular culture fan.

According to Becky Ferrell with Classic Plastics Toy Store, a few of the objects on the expo embrace new and classic toys, popular culture collectibles, Funko Pops, and “just anything nerdy.”

Ferrell stated based mostly on prior years, the occasion can draw between 800 and 1,000 folks.

The Classic Plastics Toy and Comic Expo has been working since 2014.

“Because it’s a great community,” Walker added. “You get to see a lot of the local people that love this kind of stuff who probably don’t want to talk, bring it up a lot, but also you get to know everyone and kind of bring the community together with it.”

Ferrell added she has seen folks of all ages, from toddlers to seniors, come via the doorways to see what the expo has to supply.

“You get to see people kind of relive their childhood,” Ferrell stated. “It’s really fun to watch, they’re like, ‘I used to have this,’ and they’re able to introduce it to their grandkids or their kids. It’s really fun.”
