Class of 2027 wins Simon Sanchez High School’s Sharkchella 2026 | Way of life

Simon Sanchez High School’s Class of 2027 dominated Sharkchella 2026 with their electrifying rock-inspired efficiency in an electrifying competitors that represents every grade degree’s distinctive sound, type, and spirit. 

Sharkchella was held on Feb. 28 on the John F. Kennedy High School Gymnasium.

“Genres: Every Sound, Every Style” served as this 12 months’s theme.

After a night full of power, creativity, and fierce Shark satisfaction, right here had been the ultimate outcomes:

• First place: The Class of 2027 – “Dirty Little Secret,” a high-energy tribute to alternative and classic rock influences, delivering electrifying performances and rebellious flair.
• Second place: The Class of 2026 – “When Rhyme Meets Rhythm,” a fusion of hip-hop and up to date beats, showcasing lyrical circulation, rhythm, and daring stage presence.
• Third place: Class of 2028 – “Soul of the Sharks,” a celebration of R&B and soul, highlighting powerful vocals, emotion, and smooth performance styles.
• Fourth place: Class of 2029 – “Chords of Romance,” a melodic journey through love songs and heartfelt ballads, blending pop and timeless romantic anthems.

“What an unforgettable night for Sharkchella 2026. Watching each class bring their theme to life was absolutely exciting from start to finish,” Simon Sanchez High School Assistant Principal Keith Quiambao said of the incredible energy inside the gym.

Quiambao said “the Class of 2027 truly electrified the stage and earned their 1st place finish, but every single class performed with heart, pride, and creativity.”

“The results reflect the effort and passion our students poured into their performances. This is exactly what Sharkchella is about—talent, teamwork, and Shark spirit on full display,” he added.

Originally launched in 2017 as a showcase for student talent, Sharkchella was created to provide Sharks with a platform to express their creativity through music, performance, and storytelling.

Over the years, the event has evolved into a thrilling competition between grade levels.

What began as a celebration of talent has grown into one of the most anticipated and spirited class showdowns on campus. 

“Being in that gym and feeling the energy from the crowd, the students, and the performers was something special. Sharkchella isn’t just about competition—it’s about the experience of watching our students step out of their comfort zones, support one another, and pour their creativity onto the stage,” Guam Department of Education public information officer Damen Borja, a Simon Sanchez High School alumnus, said in a statement. “As an alumnus, it was exciting and honestly heart-filling to see that same Shark pride still roaring strong.”
