Knight, Mejia Ebook Journeys To NCAA Championships

ATHENS, Ga. – University of North Carolina divers Sofia Knight and Ciro Mejia punched their ticket to the NCAA Championships after qualifying on the Zone B Championships this week. Knight certified in all three disciplines, whereas Mejia certified on platform.
 
Knight had an impressive meet led by a runner-up end on the platform. She scored a 636.20 within the occasion to finish her trio of {qualifications}. Earlier within the week, she completed ninth in each the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions to routinely qualify.
 
In the primary zone competitors of his profession, Mejia used a 754.95 to put fifth on the platform. He wanted to complete within the high seven to qualify and battled again with a 74.25 on his remaining dive to maneuver as much as fifth.
 
Next up, the ladies will head to the NCAA Championships in Atlanta, Ga. from March 18-21.
