Winter Enjoyable at Skate Evening

Instead of huddling of their dorms, dozens of Franciscan college students braved the freezing temperatures of Saturday, Feb. 1 by trekking down the hill for The Rink at Franciscan Square’s skate evening.

Hosted by Exc!te from 7 to 10 p.m., the occasion was a possibility for college students to get off campus and take part in some winter actions. Although temperatures fell into the teenagers, about 100 college students turned out to skate. Most college students arrived in giant teams with their mates, whereas some {couples} used the occasion as a date evening. 

Franciscan college students acquired each free admission and free skate leases for the occasion. With admission often costing $8 per grownup and skate leases at $5 per pair, college students saved $13 whole. Although some college students introduced their very own skates, most took benefit of the free skate leases.  

Skates weren’t the one free merchandise that college students loved. Exc!te offered snacks aplenty below a tent subsequent to the skating rink. Freshman Anna Offsay shared that the occasion was a welcome distraction from the freezing climate. “I love skating, so this was the perfect way to make the cold winter night feel a little bit better,” she mentioned.
