Boise State Battles to Eighth-Place End in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas – The Boise State girls’s golf battled to an eighth-place end on the Betsy Rawls Invitational, carding a crew rating of 947 (+83). The Broncos fought harsh winds and chilly temperatures on the primary day, which featured 36 holes. The Blue and Orange improved 20 strokes from the primary to second spherical, then closed with a six-stroke enchancment on the ultimate day. Junior Teal Matsueda was the crew’s high finisher for the second-straight event, tying for 18th at 230 (+14). Junior Jillian Hui fired the crew’s greatest spherical of the week, capturing a 73 (+1) on the ultimate day.
 
Notables

• Teal Matsueda notched her fifth top-25 end of the season, tying Leia Chung for probably the most on the crew. This pushes her profession complete to 16, tied for the Tenth-most in program historical past.
• The Broncos tied for the fourth-best common on par 5s (5.13).
• Leia Chung had 34 pars, tied for sixth within the area.
• All seven groups that completed forward of the Broncos are ranked within the nation’s top-50, together with three within the top-10 (No. 7 Texas, No. 9 Oklahoma and No. 10 Pepperdine).

What’s Next
Boise State hosts Idaho for the State of Idaho Match, held on April 2. The Broncos and Vandals will battle on Warm Springs Golf Course in Boise at 10 a.m. The groups will play 27 holes, with the match that includes three codecs. The first 9 holes shall be an alternate shot with a teammate, adopted by 9 holes of four-ball competitors. The remaining 9 shall be a singles match.
