Overview of Research and Travel Awards
The Society for Freshwater Science maintains a spread of long-term funding packages to assist the analysis and conservation actions of its members and to facilitate participation within the Society Annual Meeting.
All nominations and purposes for SFS packages at the moment are closed. The nomination/software portal for the next 12 months’s awards and nominations will open in September 2026 and might be introduced by way of SFS’s communication channels.
Endowment Awards—each basic and named endowments assist analysis and journey of scholar, early-career, and common members.
Graduate Student Conservation Research Award—the Conservation Fund helps analysis, conservation work, and/or journey of a graduate scholar member.
Resh-Rosenberg Africa/Asia Travel Awards—funded by way of an ongoing donation to SFS, this award funds journey to the Society Annual Meeting for 2 SFS members from Asia and/or Africa.
Undergraduate Student Travel Awards—funded solely by way of fundraising actions by the SFS Student Resources Committee (SRC), these awards assist journey to the SFS Annual Meeting by undergraduate scholar members.
