Iranian visa holders quickly barred from travelling to Australia

Iranian guests can be barred from travelling to Australia below new legal guidelines geared toward “protecting the integrity and sustainability” of the migration system.

Earlier this month, the federal authorities rushed new legal guidelines by means of parliament to dam individuals with momentary visas arriving from nominated nations for as much as six months.

An “arrival control determination” can be enacted tomorrow for guests from Iran, with the Albanese authorities involved that some momentary visa holders can be “unable or unlikely” to depart Australia when their visas expire.
