2026 Medium Festival of Photography

Welcome to the Medium Festival of Photography — a two-day celebration of photographs, concepts, and connection throughout our artistic group.

Join us March 27–28, 2026 on the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD), La Jolla, the place photographers, curators, writers, and image-makers collect for an immersive weekend of talks, portfolio opinions, exhibitions, and group occasions.

The Medium Festival celebrates images’s energy to form how we see, keep in mind, and join — throughout disciplines, borders, and lived experiences.

Friday, March 27 | 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Community programming at MCASD together with a Community Print Hang & Swap (co-hosted with Camera Exposure + Safelight Labs, a Portfolio Walk, and a Festival Afterparty (offsite)

Saturday, March 28 | 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
A full day of artist talks, conversations, and public programming at MCASD, alongside the exhibition opening, hands-on activations within the Alternative Process Patio, and our Pop-Up Image Makers Market that includes artists, arts organizations, and artistic companies.

From artists and educators to curators, collectors, college students, and images lovers, the Medium Festival invitations you to have interaction deeply with right now’s picture tradition and artistic group.
