“I think the most common pet I shoot are dogs, but I actually really do prefer the kitties, only because they do challenge me more,” Brown stated Saturday on Daybreak. “I think the fact that the families bring them in and don’t have high expectations means that I can exceed them.”

In 2024, Brown was named the Professional Photographer of the Year, a second she describes as “monumental” in her profession.

“It is a statewide competition that we actually have judged by the Professional Photographers of America. Judges come in, flying from out of state, and judge the images without knowing who created them, so it was a huge achievement,” Brown stated Saturday on Daybreak.

To have fun a decade in enterprise, Brown is planning a monthlong celebration in April that includes giveaways and prizes valued at greater than $1,000.
