Titans Compete In Two Meets In Two Days

LA CROSSE, Wis./APPLETON, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh ladies’s monitor & discipline crew competed in back-to-back days on Thursday and Friday (April 16-17), heading to La Crosse for the UW-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge and to Appleton for the Lawrence University Viking Invitational.
 
In La Crosse, the Titans began the day on the monitor with an eighth-place end within the 4×100-meter relay. The crew of Nyla Brown (Milwaukee/Cudahy), Addie Baker (Delavan/Elkhorn Area), Mia Riley (Janesville/Janesville Parker) and Emerson Clark (Ladysmith/Ladysmith) ran a time of 49.51 seconds.
 
Maya Van Schyndel (Little Chute/Little Chute) was the lone particular person top-eight placement on the monitor, taking eighth within the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.81 seconds.
 
In the sector, Megan Geason (Franklin/Oak Creek) positioned fourth within the triple soar, leaping 11.47 meters and Ruby Goldstein (Somerset/Somerset) completed in eight within the discus with a throw of 42.20 meters.
 
Over in Appleton, Josie Makurat (Fairfax, Va./Woodson) made her return within the 3,000-meter steeplechase, working a time of 12:26.70 for second place.
 
Athena Soto (Whitewater/Whitewater) earned bronze within the 1,500-meter run with a 5:08.11 end.
 
Carly Huelskamp (St. Germain/Northland Pines) and Kaelyn Bilello (Menomonee Falls/Menomonee Falls) positioned seventh and eighth within the discus, with Huelskamp throwing 33.61 meters and Bilello throwing 32.87 meters.
 
Huelskamp then proceeded to win the shot put, throwing 12.56 meters. Brooklyn Manz (Kiel/Kiel) earned bronze within the occasion with a throw of 11.84 meters and Bilello positioned sixth with 10.10 meters.
 
The Titans have two meets once more subsequent week, beginning with Drake University Relays from Wednesday to Saturday (April 22-25). They will even compete within the St. Norbert College Invitational on Saturday.
