S/S 2026’s greatest menswear reimagines dressing up in easy type

A languid magnificence defines S/S 2026’s most fascinating menswear, the place strains between the decorative and the utilitarian are blurred, and perfection is eschewed in favour of the easy and the undone.

A collection of those appears to be like are captured within the pages of the May 2026 Design Issue of Wallpaper* (on newsstands now), photographed by London and Paris-based image-maker Ana Garcia and Italian stylist Nicola Neri amid the serene interiors of Ed’s Shed, a wood Adjaye Associates-designed house in London’s De Beauvoir neighbourhood (it takes its identify from proprietor Ed Reeve, an architectural photographer).

Each captures a juxtaposition between the useful and the dressed up – whether or not the voluminous line of a pair of Dior cargo pants, their layered again impressed by a Winter 1948 high fashion ‘Delft’ gown, or the purposely creased texture of a Zegna swimsuit, its floor lined in safari jacket-style pockets.

Elsewhere, the temper is conjured by means of intriguing layering: a Loro Piano jacket slung across the waist, a cardigan rising from the neck of a Loewe jacket. Other items merely seize the easy magnificence of the S/S 2026 season, like a JW Anderson wool coat, worn right here with an ornamental Dries Van Noten necklace, and nothing beneath.
