Baseball Loses to St. John’s

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers baseball dropped its midweek contest to St. John’s by a rating of 10-5 on Tuesday evening at Bainton Field. 

The Scarlet Knights (20-21) took an early 4-1 lead, however the Red Storm (21-19) scored three within the fourth and three within the eighth to earn the victory. 

Gabriel Rivera had one other sturdy day on the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and pair of RBIs. Rivera had an RBI double within the first and scored on a balk to present RU the early 2-0 lead. 

After SJU scored one within the second, Chase Krewson and Ryan Jaros hit back-to-back dwelling runs to make it 4-1.
