We Will Go Ministries’ summer time camp gears up with sponsors wanted for kids’s enjoyable and studying

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Kids within the Historic Farish Street District are counting down the times to the beginning of summer time camp.

We Will Go Ministries is gearing as much as welcome greater than 100 youngsters for weeks of studying, enjoying, swimming and enjoyable.

The library inside We Will Go Ministries was buzzing with actions Thursday as volunteers ready for the beginning of summer time camp.

Children ages 5 to 12 will take studying and literacy lessons, working to enhance their grade degree. Volunteers and camp counselors folded and sorted T-shirts for the 110 campers.

“I feel like God has been kind of tugging me to town for summer camp to see, maybe it’s a lesson in here for me,” stated Kingsley McWilliams.

The 19-year-old Belhaven University nursing main from Philadelphia, Mississippi, is considered one of this yr’s camp counselors.

“Camps like this offer great opportunities for children because they’re able to go and do things, like their peers, and experience things and make memories and feel lots of love each and every day,” McWilliams added.

“We are looking forward for the campers arriving Monday,” stated Denis Ridgely whereas making ready cheeseburgers.
