MINNEAPOLIS – Sixteen student-athletes from the Minnesota rowing workforce had been acknowledged Friday by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) with the 2026 CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award. In complete, 1,174 student-athletes earned the award throughout all divisions of collegiate girls’s rowing as these athletes symbolize the best requirements of excellence in each educational achievement and athletic efficiency.

The CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award acknowledges collegiate rowers who exhibit a robust dedication to success within the classroom and on the water. Nominees should meet the next standards:
Academic Requirements

  • Must meet all institutional and convention eligibility guidelines
  • Must be of their 2nd, third, 4th, or fifth yr of eligibility
  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of three.50 or greater via the top of the autumn semester

Athletic Requirements

  • Must have rowed in at the very least 75% of the workforce’s spring races in an NCAA eligible boat

    or
  • Must have competed in an NCAA boat at their convention championship

“Balancing the demands of collegiate rowing and academics requires tremendous commitment, discipline, and support,” stated Janet Raymer, CRCA Executive Director. “These 1,174 scholar-athletes have demonstrated excellence not only in competition, but also in the classroom. Their achievements reflect the dedication of the student-athletes themselves, as well as the coaches, teammates, faculty, and families who help support their success.
