Unifor brings members collectively for Family Fun Day in St. John’s

The Unifor Atlantic Regional Council held a “Family Fun Day” on August 2, bringing members and their households collectively in St. John’s for a day of meals, actions and group.

“Events like Family Fun Day remind us that our union is about more than the workplace—it’s about people, families and the relationships that make our movement stronger,” stated Atlantic Regional Director Jennifer Murray. “It was wonderful to see so many members and their loved ones come together to enjoy the afternoon and celebrate the solidarity that defines Unifor.” 

The occasion featured free barbecued meals, bouncy castles, face portray, video games and Unifor-themed prizes. Members had the chance to attach exterior of the office and have fun the energy of their union group. 

The occasion highlighted the significance of making alternatives for members and their households to attach, strengthen friendships, and construct lasting relationships throughout the union.  

“One of the greatest strengths of the Atlantic Regional Council is the sense of community we’ve built across our region,” stated Atlantic Regional Council Chair Adele Jackman. “When we put money into alternatives for members and their households to return collectively, we’re strengthening the bonds that make our union resilient.  

Unifor thanks the volunteers and organizers whose exhausting work made the occasion successful, in addition to everybody who attended and helped make the afternoon a memorable celebration of solidarity and group.
