Dailey Retires as Headvert Coach of the Swimming and Diving Program

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette swimming and diving head coach Jim Dailey will retire previous to the beginning of 2026-27 season after 32 seasons on the helm of the Leopard program.

Dailey first arrived at Lafayette in 1991 as an assistant coach, a place he held till 1993. Ahead of the 1993-94 season, he was named the interim head coach earlier than being named the twelfth head coach in this system’s historical past. Under Dailey’s tutelage, the Leopards collected 29 particular person Patriot League titles whereas including 23 males and 20 ladies to the All-Patriot League squad.

Over his three a long time, Dailey has produced a lot of swimmers which have gone on to achieve important milestones. In 1992, Andrew Rutherford was named an NCAA Division I All American previous to showing on the Summer Olympics in Barcelona for Hong Kong.
