What Are You Making an attempt To Obtain With Your Photography

As a part of the exhibition course of for No Place | No Time, held in Castello Ceconi in Italy, I wrote a sequence of notes to accompany the Artist Statement and thought they might make an fascinating sequence of publication posts.  The accompanying print is a fast iPhone photograph of the print on the wall at Castello Ceconi Art Gallery in Italy. 

What are you making an attempt to attain along with your images?

Do I want to attain something greater than to create a picture?

I do know many artists produce work to precise an emotion or a better goal. Art can be utilized to foster subservience or to encourage revolt, however my motives will not be so grandiose. At the danger of aligning my work with that of the Romantic motion – as a result of I’m instructed {that a} true Romantic artist would not consider himself as one – I can see similarities in my method.

Today we stay in a really difficult world. It’s thrilling, manic and anxious, so I prefer to assume my work generally is a quiet refuge the place we will take pleasure in color, form and line with out an agenda. In easy phrases, I really feel my pictures are profitable after they obtain a stability of contrasts and a picture that’s pleasing to the attention, an object that may be loved for no different goal.
