Teenager drowns off Rockaway Beach after he and a buddy went swimming after lifeguards went off responsibility – QNS

At roughly 7:30 p.m., NYC Parks lifeguards and EMS had been alerted to the 2 swimmers in misery close to Beach 84th Street. The FDNY obtained a name at 7:38 p.m. reporting the lacking swimmers and dispatched models to Shore Front Parkway.

NYC Parks reminds all beachgoers that swimming is permitted between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. day by day and it’s unsafe to swim when lifeguards will not be on responsibility.
