Jacksonville State to Host National Juried Photography Exhibition

JACKSONVILLE, AL — Jacksonville State University’s Department of Art and Design will host the opening of “In the Practice of Seeing: National Juried Photography Exhibition” on Thursday, Aug. 27.

The occasion is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at Jacksonville State University, 700 Pelham Road North in Jacksonville.

The nationwide juried exhibition was open to photographers from throughout the United States, offering a possibility for artists to submit work for consideration in each skilled and pupil classes.

The exhibition included an 18-and-older skilled and collegiate class, in addition to a free highschool class for college students ages 13 to 17. Professional and collegiate candidates had been permitted to submit as much as three photographs for a $20 entry charge.

The submission deadline for the exhibition was July 6.

Photographer Jim Reiman is serving as juror for the nationwide exhibition. As juror, Reiman is chargeable for reviewing submitted pictures and choosing work for inclusion within the exhibition.

The occasion is being introduced by the Jacksonville State University Department of Art and Design.

The Aug. 27 occasion is open to the general public and is scheduled to final roughly two hours.
