JACKSONVILLE, AL — Jacksonville State University’s Department of Art and Design will host the opening of “In the Practice of Seeing: National Juried Photography Exhibition” on Thursday, Aug. 27.

The occasion is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at Jacksonville State University, 700 Pelham Road North in Jacksonville.

The nationwide juried exhibition was open to photographers from throughout the United States, offering a possibility for artists to submit work for consideration in each skilled and pupil classes.

The exhibition included an 18-and-older skilled and collegiate class, in addition to a free highschool class for college students ages 13 to 17. Professional and collegiate candidates had been permitted to submit as much as three photographs for a $20 entry charge.
