American Airlines declares 7 new worldwide routes for 2027

American Airlines is increasing its worldwide community in 2027 with seven new routes, three new locations and extra service between New York and London.

The Texas-based service mentioned Thursday that each one its newly introduced summer season routes will function every day. Tickets go on sale Aug. 31 by American’s web site and cellular app.

“Our international network has expanded to offer destinations to satisfy every travel palate,” American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning Brian Znotins mentioned in a press release. 

“Combined with our investments enhancing our onboard product and inflight experience, travelers have more reasons to choose American when they fly around the world.”

Philadelphia will achieve worldwide locations: Porto, Portugal; Vienna, Austria; and Reykjavik, Iceland. Porto and Vienna can be totally new additions to American’s community, whereas service to Reykjavik will return for the primary time since 2019.

Philadelphia-to-Porto flights will start March 28, adopted by service to Vienna on May 6 and Reykjavik on May 27.

American mentioned it is going to be the one U.S. airline serving Vienna. The seasonal route will proceed by early January 2028, extending service by the winter vacation journey interval.

The airline can be increasing from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, including nonstop service to Amsterdam starting March 28 and Nice, France, beginning May 6.

American will restore a fourth every day flight between JFK and London Heathrow on March 28. Together with accomplice British Airways, the airways will provide as many as 14 every day flights between New York and London, in accordance with American.

Elsewhere, the airline will launch service between Chicago O’Hare and Tokyo Narita on March 19 to assist meet rising demand round Japan’s cherry blossom season.

A brand new Charlotte-to-Barcelona route will start May 27, making Charlotte the sixth U.S. gateway from which American serves the Spanish metropolis.

American can be transferring up the seasonal launches of its returning Charlotte-to-Paris and Miami-to-Milan routes to March 4 as demand for spring journey to Europe grows.

The worldwide enlargement follows American’s announcement earlier this month of a serious overhaul of its onboard expertise.

The airline mentioned greater than 800 narrowbody plane will in the end obtain upgraded leisure methods that includes 4K shows, Bluetooth connectivity and USB-C charging.
