The National Audubon Society has unveiled the winners of the 2026 Audubon Photography Awards, a contest that captures the fantastic thing about birds and the challenges they face.

The competitors, now in its seventeenth 12 months, is cut up into two geographic areas: Chile and Colombia, in addition to the United States and Canada. This is to focus on “how birds connect people across geographies and ecosystems.”

Judges awarded 9 prizes to Chile and Colombia residents and eight prizes to U.S. and Canada residents. This 12 months, along with $5,000, grand prize winners every obtained a voyage to Antarctica with HX Expeditions.

Other prizes embody the second annual birds with out borders prize, depicting birds with migratory paths that cross worldwide boundaries, and the conservation prize, illustrating conservation challenges that birds face or how addressing these challenges may also help them thrive. Two separate panels judged entries anonymously and chosen the winners and honorable mentions for his or her respective areas.

Winners and honorable mentions are printed on-line in English and Spanish, and winners shall be featured within the fall 2026 print challenge of Audubon journal. The annual prime 100 photographs shall be introduced on September 23, 2026, and extra alternatives shall be featured in digital galleries on Audubon’s web site all year long.
