Photographer Andrea Modica celebrated in concurrent NYC exhibitions

The Alice Austen House (Staten Island) and AMR Art DUMBO (Brooklyn) current two concurrent solo exhibitions of acclaimed American photographer Andrea Modica (b. 1960) from this September, bringing collectively complementary our bodies of labor exploring womanhood, id, and Italian American heritage by the traditions and expectations which have formed generations of women and girls.

About the Artist

Andrea Modica is an acclaimed American photographer based mostly in Philadelphia, the place she teaches pictures at Drexel University. A graduate of the Yale School of Art, she is a Guggenheim Fellow, Fulbright Scholar, and recipient of the Knight Award.
