Labor Day crowds get pleasure from one final seashore day on the Jersey Shore

OCEAN CITY, N.J. (WPVI) — Visitors flocked to the Jersey shore for one closing vacation weekend getaway as heat climate and favorable seashore situations marked the unofficial finish of the summer season season.

Families and day-trippers in Ocean City spent the day on the seashore and strolling the boardwalk earlier than returning to work and faculty.

“This is a yearly thing for us, a couple times a year even,” stated Emily Schmidt of Harrisburg. “The best part was probably just relaxing with the family. Life is so busy, so it was so nice to just unplug and be here for the weekend.”

Brooke Bivona of Gloucester City stated she and her daughter, Auri, made a last-minute journey after seeing the climate.

“I was off today, and I looked at the weather and it was gorgeous, so we decided to come on down,” Bivona stated.

“The weather is honestly so amazing,” stated Emily Lopez-Navas of Washington Township. “The water is so warm, it feels so good. He’s having a blast with the sand,” referring to her son, Elijah.

“Just gonna take in the sun, enjoy, get some pizza and French fries, and just head on home. Back to work tomorrow,” stated Charlie Johnson of Blue Bell.

For kids getting ready to move again to high school, Monday was stuffed with simple assignments.

“Building sandcastles and swimming,” stated Jack Weller of Douglassville when requested about his plans.

“Probably like chill and maybe swim,” stated Natalia Armento of Downingtown.
