Solitario and Santos-Ramos named to Big Ten Watch List

MADISON, Wis. — Sophomore swimmer Enzo Solitario and freshman diver Alvaro Santos-Ramos of the Wisconsin males’s swim and dive workforce have been named to the 2026-27 Big Ten Swimmers and Divers to Watch List, the convention introduced on Tuesday.

To end his freshman season, Solitario competed on the 2026 NCAA Championships within the 200 free, 500 free and 200 fly. He earned honors as 2026 All-Big Ten Second Team and 2026 All-Big Ten Freshman Team, in addition to All-America Second Team within the 800 free relay on the 2026 Men’s NCAA Championships.

Solitario was just lately named to the 2026-2027 U.S. National Swim Team following his third-place end within the males’s 200m butterfly on the 2026 Toyota USA Swimming National Championships with a time of 1:54.99.

Santos-Ramos joins the Badgers this season as a freshman diver with earlier expertise competing for Real Canoe N.C. in Madrid, Spain.

In 2025 he positioned fourth within the males’s class A platform competitors with a rating of 397.35 on the ninth Madrid Open Diving competitors. Santos-Ramos earned second-place within the 3m Springboard and third-place in Platform on the 2025 Spanish Age-Group Championships.

The Badgers will open their 2026-27 season at residence on Friday, Sept. 25 with an intrasquad meet.
