People typically ask me why I journey a lot. The sincere reply is… as a result of I don’t imagine life is one thing we’re supposed to maintain suspending. I do know I’m extremely lucky. Over the previous couple of years, I’ve been capable of flip one thing I really like into a part of my profession, and I don’t take that privilege with no consideration for a single day. But this isn’t actually about journey. It’s about not ready. So many individuals inform me they’ll journey extra when… When work slows down. When they’ve more cash. When the youngsters are older. When life isn’t so busy. When they retire. We all have our personal model of “when.” Maybe they are going to. I genuinely hope they do. But perhaps they gained’t. This 12 months has been a reminder that life doesn’t at all times unfold the way in which we count on it to. I boarded a ship anticipating one other journey and as an alternative discovered myself spending six weeks in federal quarantine. It was scary. It was unsure. But if that have modified something, it wasn’t my want to maintain exploring the world. It strengthened it. Not as a result of I all of the sudden suppose life is brief. Because I used to be reminded that life is unpredictable. There’s a distinction. We spend a lot of our lives assuming we’ll finally have time. Time for the journey. Time for the interest. Time to inform folks we love them. Time to chase no matter dream retains sitting at the back of our minds. Maybe we’ll. I hope all of us do. But I don’t wish to construct my life assuming tomorrow is assured. So sure, I journey. Not as a result of I’m making an attempt to flee actual life. Because that is my life. And I wish to fill it with as many significant experiences, unimaginable folks, lovely locations, and unforgettable moments as I probably can. Travel simply occurs to be my dream. Yours may look utterly totally different.
