A large online retailer has spilled the beans on Fitbit Inspire 3 ahead of official launch. Here are all the details, including pics of the upcoming fitness band.

It is no secret Inspire 3 will land soon, alongside Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4. The company will be at IFA in Berlin in the first week of September and we expect it will proudly be showcasing the new activity trackers.

There have been a number of leaks already including renders of all three devices. What was missing were the actual specs of the trio. This latest leak from an online retailer (via Fitness Tracker Test) provides just such details for Inspire 3.

Fitbit Inspire 3 – expected technical specs and features

The device is expected to get a design revamp as compared to the current iteration. You could say it will be a blend between Luxe and Inspire 2. That’s because the third generation will be gaining a fancy AMOLED screen instead of a monochrome one. What is missing is the stainless steel case of Luxe.

Here are pics of Inspire 3 and Inspire 2 side-by-side. As you can see, the devices look similar with a single button on the side. The monochrome display of the current generation looks more curved than on Inspire 3.

As far as features, the Inspire 3 gets SpO2 monitoring and an always-on mode. The rest seems pretty much unchanged although the bits under the hood will be updated with latest generation tech.

Here’s the list of expected features:

  • 24/7 activity tracking (steps, distance, calories)
  • 24/7 heart rate monitoring
  • Sleep tracking and Sleep Score, smart wake
  • Active zone minutes
  • Cardio fitness
  • SpO2 monitoring
  • Resting heart ratge
  • Heart rate variability
  • Respiratory rate
  • Skin temperature
  • Female health tracking
  • Stress management
  • Mindfullness sessions
  • Notifications and messages
  • DND mode

As you can see, there’s no built-in GPS on this list. But Inspire 3 has Connected GPS so can tap into your smartphone’s satellite signal for location information.

One would expect the new AMOLED display to effect battery life. And while this is true, Fitbit has retained the 10 days between charges thanks to a larger battery. This also improves on the Luxe’s five days between charges. That’s impressive considering both feature the same type of screen.

Fitbit Inspire 3: Release date, price

Inspire 3 will retail for around $100 when it is made available in a choice between Midnight Zen, Morning Glow and Lilac Bliss. September 29th is the date mentioned in the retailer listing when you will be able to purchase it. If that date turns out to be accurate, expect the official launch a day or two earlier. It is also very likely we will see Sense 2 and Versa 4 on that same day.

A purchase of Inspire 3 will get you a free 6-month premium membership which will provide you with more detailed insights into your health and fitness metrics. This normally retails for around $9.99 per month.
